Supplying great products and service to our customers is a top priority for Nikon. To provide you with the service you need for your Nikon product, please take note of the information provided on this page.
To have your product serviced, please contact your Nikon Inc. dealer or your Nikon Inc. Factory Service Facility. Nikon Inc. and our dealer network take great pride in our service facilities, and our trained technicians use only genuine Nikon parts to fix your equipment. But before sending in your product, please write down the model and serial number and keep it for your reference.
How to Ship Your Product to Nikon for Factory Service:
- We recommend using a shipping company—like UPS—that provides a tracking number.
- Please secure the product in a shipping box with two to three inches of packing material surrounding the product.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not ship in the original display box. Use a shipping box that provides better protection.
- We do not need to receive accessories, like batteries and chargers or digital cards, unless they help us evaluate the issue with the product. (Cards with sample images are helpful for focusing or image-quality issues, and they will be returned to you.)
- We recommend insuring the product for its replacement value.

All scanners should be sent to the Melville, NY address for your repair or service regardless of your location.
All Sport Optics products should be sent to the El Segundo, CA address regardless of your location.
FOREIGN CUSTOMERS - SHIPPING YOUR PRODUCT TO NIKON USA FOR SERVICE
International shipping is a complex matter that requires special documentation and procedures in both the USA and your country. If your product was purchased from the US, has a Nikon USA warranty, and is being sent to Nikon USA for warranty evaluation or service after the warranty period is past, please include paperwork requested by your local customs agency and Nikon so that we may receive it in the USA. Also, please retain copies of the needed documents to receive your item back after service. Nikon Inc. USA prefers to return to US addresses.
Requirements:
- Ship your product to us with all freight, duty brokerage and shipping prepaid. Shipping to Nikon is not covered.
- Please confirm what paperwork is needed to receive your repaired product back through your country's customs service. Please keep copies of all your paperwork as they will be necessary for re-importation of the product upon return to your country.
- Please describe the item properly and fully, i.e. "digital camera model L3."
- If the service is covered by our warranty, we will cover the shipping freight cost to you.
- Any and all duties, taxes and service fees imposed on the return shipment are your responsibility.
- We ship internationally via UPS, therefore, please provide your street address for your return shipment if at all possible.
